Dumelow International Limited was formed in 1996 in the UK by the director, John Dumelow, (Company registration number 3171251) in order to supply renovated used tractors, construction equipment, and motor vehicles to Africa. Subsequently the business expanded with sales worldwide. This is a business in which Mr Dumelow has been involved for many years, but in 1996 he decided to set up this company to carry out the business on a full time basis. He is a chartered engineer and a qualified agricultural engineer with extensive experience in Africa, including ten years working as a Lecturer in Agricultural Engineering (two years at the University of Malawi and eight years at Sokoine University of Agriculture in Tanzania). As a result of this and other work experience in Africa, he is familiar with most African farming conditions and agricultural mechanisation problems. He is also married to a Tanzanian.
